The idea of whether we are on a bubble or aren't on a bubble is being argued by economists everywhere. Most experts are saying the housing market is going to remain fierce for a while yet. I can only say I'm seeing and hearing of people moving here from California, New York, New Jersey, and various other markets because Columbus and Central Ohio are an affordable place to live with great opportunities. With this in mind, and no sign of pricing dropping or inventory increasing, I have told my own children the sooner they can buy the better.
There are a lot of variables that will determine what will be important to buyers. Unless it is a renovation that will serve you and your family until you do sell, I would suggest you don't do anything.
